Erika is the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance for R.D. Olson Construction, a national commercial contractor based in Southern California. She oversees a team of superstars, responsible for all aspects of its construction and development group support functions including accounting and reporting, banking, surety, strategic planning, and risk and information systems management.
During her 30-year tenure with the company, Erika has become an integral part of the management team, playing a major role in the company’s growth toward becoming one of the most respected general contractors in the region. With annual sales in excess of $250 million, R.D. Olson has built an impressive portfolio of hotel, resort and multi-family housing construction, focusing on fast-track projects with high-end quality finishes and attention to detail.
Erika joined the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) in 1994, served as the Orange County Chapter’s president in 2006-2007, and the Association’s National Chairman in 2012-2013. Since becoming a member, she’s served on numerous national committees, is an alumnus of CFMA’s Mentoring Program, and has conducted CCIFP (Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional) overview seminars on accounting and reporting for candidates interested in sitting for the exam.
Erika holds Bachelor’s Degrees in Business Administration and Accounting from the California State University Fullerton, and Computer Science from the University of Belgrano in Argentina.
Now-a-days she likes to give back to the industry through education and mentoring. In her spare time Erika enjoys travel, yoga, tap, and spoiling her beloved pets Karma (the German Shepherd) and Sullivan (the crazy cat); but most of all she loves family time with her husband, Mariano, and their children, Isabella and Enzo.
