Craig Howser joined Alliant in 2000 to help launch its national law firm specialty vertical, formerly operating as ProQuest. As Executive Vice President and Managing Director, Craig is integral in the management and strategic direction of the law firm vertical, leveraging over 30 years of law firm insurance experience to serve Alliant clients. Craig specializes in tailoring professional liability, employment practice, management liability, cyber liability and risk management insurance solutions for mid-to-large size law firms.
Prior to joining Alliant, Craig was a broker with a leading global brokerage and an underwriting team leader in the Alternative Risk Casualty Group, responsible for underwriting captives, risk retention groups (RRG), and risk purchasing groups (RPG) for a national insurance company.
Craig earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and finance from the University of Iowa. He holds the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and Cyber Professional Liability Practitioner (CPLP) designations. Craig is a member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society, the Association of Lloyd’s Brokers and the board of directors for the Surplus Lines Association of Illinois.
