The EEOC’s role is to enforce all federal laws that make it illegal to discriminate employees or job applicants because of their race, religion, gender, pregnancy status, transgender status, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, and genetic information.
The EEOC has the right to investigate claims and charges, conduct investigations, and file lawsuits to protect employees and the public.
