Over 3 weeks, the Middlesex team was able to replace over 2700 ties and surface replacements, and over 14,000 track feet of tamping between Wellington & Oak Grove Stations. 83% of these tie replacements were performed on the Northbound track, which abuts a live Keolis track. Another 7% took place on bridges that required the removal & reinstallation of over 4000 linear feet of bridge guard and installation of 700 new tie plates for the guarded rail to bring the track up to code. This was a monumental task that required constant communication, hard work, long days, and a safety-conscious mindset.
